The Muse is Loose

What is a muse,Pogue? We know what a moose is. He is an animal seen in remote and wet parts of our country. The male has huge antlers. He can run fast on land and in water. He appears to be docile but he can hurt you. A muse is nothing like a moose except the word rhymes with moose. Muse has multiple meanings. Two of them will hopefully fit this blog. One definition is "to think seriously;meditate". A second definition is for that of a poet. A muse in Greek mythology was a goddess who gave ideas and thoughts to a poet. Forget that one for me. If I am inspired in a poem it is from a different source. Bottom line is that a poet can rightfully be called a muse. I am a bit of a poet. Most of us are. I am a poet who like to rhyme most of the time. (Hear that?)
