DEAN

Where he will go is yet to be seen.
Now, for certain, he is ugly and mean.
Mexico? Galveston? Here in-between?
Keep a close watch on this storm named Dean.

Where will we go? This one thing we know,
It won't be Port A or San Benito!
We'll "head for the hills" quite literally,
Taking the car and our little RV!

Where will you go? Depends where you are.
If you're on the coast, you'll need to go far.
If you live in Junction or San Angelo
You're not going to have very far to go!

Where will you stay? Some will stay here.
Have a hurricane party with burgers and beer.
Live it up! Have a blast! This is the year!
They built this place right. Nothing to fear!

You might want to ask the ones who did stay
Through Celia and watched their homes blow away,
The screaming winds and the frothy bay
Is a nightmare for some to this very day.

I'm not going to have to decide what you do.
But our car and RV is going to scadoo!
There's still a chance Dean will take a new path,
But if he does not, we won't feel his wrath!

"I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest." Psalm 55:8
