Baptizing At Comfort

Sunday was a great day at Comfort Baptist Church. I was privileged, by the graciousness of the pastor, Jim Holt, to baptize grand-daughter Emily Duprie. It didn't bother Emily that a cricket also wanted to be taken under. She is a nature lover. Emily is seven. She had wanted to be baptized for quite some time. She had accepted Jesus as Saviour several months ago. For an old over-the-hill Baptist preacher nothing better can happen than to baptize grandchildren. This is the third one for me. Dempsey Duprie and Lee's daughter, Courtney. Calvin Duprie, the one pound nine-ounce miracle boy, is almost fourteen pounds! His smile will melt your heart. He talks, but has no translator! Comfort Bobcats won Friday night and Dempsey's team won Saturday morning in their first play-off game (4-5-6 grades). I think High School football is the most fun to watch. The Cowboys bored me Sunday night. It must be an age thing. Anyway, back to real blogging tomorrow. Thanks to all who read.
