Following The Bobcats

Thursday night in San Angelo Comfort saw their football post-season end. Tied 21-21 at the end of the third quarter, all the bad things happened quickly and they lost to a good Crane team from West Texas. The Golden Cranes are now 10-1. I was able to see several Comfort games. I had reports from the other ones by cell phone. It was fun. James Duprie is offensive coordinator for Comfort. Each Friday afternoon at 5:00 when they have a home game they have a motivational-inspirational time. It is ten minutes. I was asked to speak to the team this year before the Junction game. I spoke on competition and how it relates to all of life. When I finished I asked if I could have a prayer with them. With no urging all the boys came and knelt around me as I prayed. When I finished they lined up and came by and shook my hand. It was a moving experience for me. They won that night and no one was hurt in the game. I am grateful. I salute their Head Coach AD , Lee Wiginton, for instituting such an event. The coaches have a Bible study before school each Wednesday. Isn't that great? Real class!
