I don't do business meetings. Occasionaly I have to go to one, but it is forced. I am sorry I missed our last one, however, for the church designated Charles Fake pastor emeritus. No one ever deserved the honor more. No one. One definition in the dictionary is: "retired from active service but retaining one's rank or title". As we all know he is not retired. He is retired from service at First Rockport. He will retain his rank throughout his life... pastor... with honor.
He has been my supervisor, my pastor, my friend. He will always be my friend. I wish a condo in Hawaii went with the honor. I would visit him there whether or not he was home. In lieu of such an accommodation there will be a mansion in one of the upscale locales in glory. Hope I can visit him there, but not too soon.
