The Humble Genius

There are not a lot of folks who deserve the title "Genius". Charles Fake is one who has earned the title. His mind is brilliant. His humor sharp and witty. His knowledge almost infinite. He can sing down the stars with that baritone-bass voice. He is a pulpit master who preaches in a simple and profound way that captures the young and old. His heart is soft and caring. His humility is Christ-like. He is a wonderful, faithful, lasting servant of the Lord. His ministry to First Baptist, Rockport will go on long after Charles is gone. He is a dear friend and I will miss him as he humbly goes from a church with many hundreds of members to one with less than fifty. They will receive the same powerful, Biblical, well- prepared messages we have enjoyed at First Baptist, Rockport. Thank you, dear friend! Continue to preach down the stars as long as you can, and as few, so few, are gifted to do. "To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy - to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forever more. Amen" Jude 24-25
