NOTHING MUCH

I think this is kinda' funny. Yesterday after I had let off steam about telemarketers and telecops and telepoliticians the phone rang. It was Hillary! I wish I could have gotten a word in. I wanted to say, "Bill is trying to talk to you! Call him! He says THIS TIME YOU"RE in trouble! "
On to something else. Car dealers! I read their ads alot. They are humorous. " Buy the Grand Enfalada. Save thousands!" My answer." Don't buy anything. Save thousands more!." Iike this one: "Going out of business sale! Everything in the store 25% off. No payments until 2009 with approved credit!". Isn't something missing in this scenario.?
All this leads to my story of the day. It wasn't so terribly long ago. We bought a small TV in December. I was prepared to write a check. The clerk said: "No payment until after Christmas" I decided to just wait. January...February...March. No bill. That bothered me. They may be sending it out and I am not getting it and my credit could be hurt. I went to the store. Told my story. The man punched on the computer all the while. Finally, "Mr. Pogue, we have no record of your buying a TV" "Well, I did. Right up there!" I pointed up an escalator. It was $99.00 plus tax." The clerk: "Sorry, but we have no record of that.". "You don't want my check?" "No sir, because I would not know where to credit it. Enjoy your free TV." What kind of business is that? By the way, that store is no longer in the mall. I don't think it was my $99.00 but you do that a few thousand times and it could be. True story. Would I lie? Trust me! VVVVV
