LETS JUST SLOW DOWN!

I am amazed that those in power, demo and rep and ind, cannot see the most simple solution to our energy problem. It is working for those few individuals who are brave enough to try it, taking their lives in their hands from irate motorists, semis and little guys, who continue to barrel down our streets and highways at break-your-neck speeds. The SOLUTION! Slow down! Not voluntary but enforced. Sixty at most on interstates. Fifty-five can continue. It would mean that law enforcement would have to be more visable. Much more visable. Like they are on Sunday mornings when people are going to church. That reduced speed would save lives, vehicles, gasoline, diesel, and tempers. I discovered a few days ago the difference in gasoline consumption it made for me. It was amazing! Voluntary doesn't work. It's like the little yellow signs we hung in our cars, "BABY ON BOARD". Who cares? No, it has to be enforced. This is nothing new. Our country has done it before. In Oklahoma,(oil country) they have a seventy-five mph speed limit! Is that ironic?

Well, it seems no one is doing anything. Congress is on vacation. Seems they have been for some time. This is not a political message. I am not going to do those. It is a call for help. People who drive many miles to work or school are feeling a terrible pinch. Someone up there do something. States could get involved as well. Let's slow down!
