WEEK-END WEDDING

It is a privilege for me to participate in a wedding Saturday afternoon in Wharton. You may or may not know our family spent twelve years there. Lee began first grade and graduated from Wharton High School. Laura attended there until her high school years. We have had and still have many friends there. A dear, dear friend is Ross Arth. His mother was our church secretary. Mary Alice was the best! Ross graduated from Texas A & M and is employed by them in College Station. Ross will be the groom. The bride will be Lou Ann Toney. When I was pastor at Wharton the church began a Child Development Center. Lou Ann joined that faculty and directed it for almost thirty years. It has given invaluable Christian guidance for hundreds of children through those years. These are two of my favorite people so I am honored to be a part of this special day, and of their lives. We plan to return to Rockport Sunday afternoon. Ann and I plan to go there Friday afternoon. The Muse will be quiet for a few days. Check in on us on Monday.
