It begins Thursday.Sixty-five of the best collegiate basketball teams will square off in a single elimination play that will lead to a national championship. Texas has THREE teams in the tournament. None are expected to win it all, except by their hopeful exes. The surprise team is SF Austin. They have drawn a tough opponent in Syracuse. The favorites are probably Memphis and Louisville. It all begins Thursday. After this week-end sixteen teams will remain.
The NIT will also be taking place. This is an old tournament. It involves some of the teams not invited to "the dance". There are some really good teams there this year. Georgetown, Kentucky,UNLV, and South Carolina are among the players. Baylor will be there from Texas.
