It is day seven of our great adventure in having Calvin Duprie as a full-time guest.With two days to go we think we can survive! Betty Booth Everett came from Tyler yesterday to help and it has been a life-saver!
This afternoon we took Calvin to the Rockport Beach. It was his first real trip to the beach to wade and throw sand and find things and tear down castles and throw sand and... He had a great time. Loved the gulls but could not catch them. We are preparing to have brown beans and fresh tamales. It is still winter for another couple of days so that is an appropriate meal.
The kids and grands are having a blast in Puerto Rico. Laura hooked and lost two Tarpon yesterday. Their guide said one was 60-65 pounds! They catch a Saturday flight and will get back to Austin late Saturday. We will be at their house when they arrive and spend Saturday night there.
