Thank you for your response to the BLOG survey. I was amazed at the responses. I do have readers! All this inspires me to keep on as I can. Someone asked, "Why the name?". I explained that 307 BLOGS ago. I will do it again. Muse is a play on the word Moose. Muse is also a term referring to a poet. I am a poet when inspired. When not inspired I am a rhymer. I began by writing some poems, thus I was a Muse On The Loose.
Ann and I came to love the Moose through visits to the Tetons and Yellowstone. I also walked up on one along the Rio Grande in Colorado. I have seen them in water up to their necks with vegetation hanging from the antlers. They swim well and run fast. They are...well....UGLY. On occasion they will allow people to get rather close. The problem is that one does not know when it is acceptable, so a risk is involved. Moose can weight almost a ton. They are the largest animal of the deer family in North America. The plural of moose is moremoose. (Just kidding! My computer red-lined that word.) Enough about the moose. We are off to care for grandkids for a couple of days. This muse will vamoose.
