There was never a doubt in Heaven that Christ would do and die and rise from the grave. It was His purpose for coming. There was never a doubt from Jesus that He would do the same. O, He did pray, "Father if it is possible let this cup pass from me", but He knew it was not possible, so in the next breath it was "nevertheless, not my will but thine be done". There was never a doubt on the part of Satan. He knew the adversary he was dealing with. The angels never doubted.
The doubters were his chosen eleven and the disciples who followed Him. Their doubt would be erased as He walked among them as the Risen Lord. Doubters have filled the centuries. They are here in increasing numbers today. It is their problem. The Lord did EVERYTHING He promised. Everything! The rest is up to us. As a Believer you have God's promise of eternal life. It is as sure as the Resurrection. It is as sure as God is Creator. This is why we enjoy the truth of this Easter Day.
I will be away from the keys for three days while I bird the hill country of Texas. The Lord willing, I will be back at the board on Thursday. dp
