John Mark wrote no word
Luke was quieter than he'd been.
Noth-ing from John is heard.
Wednesday. Silent Wednesday.
The hour now close at hand
when Satan seems to have his way
with Christ's own chosen band.
He may have left to spend the day
alone, in quiet peace
with His Father, as He'd pray
that death would bring release
from pain, and broken heart and such;
the anguish for His special friends,
unable with His loving touch.....
Betrayer!......... no amends.
The Sacred Word is silent,
so we have only guessed.
The Bible soon will speak again
and tell us all the rest.
Silent Wednesday.
