Here is another bear story. This one from the Bible. It is a reminder that one must not be ugly toward hair-challenged prophets. Let me let the Bible tell the story:
Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some youths came out of the town and jeered at him. "Go on up, you baldhead!", they jeered. "Go on up you baldhead!". He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the Lord. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths. And he went on to Mount Carmel and from there returned to Samaria." II Kings 2:23-25
This is a rather strange story. It shows an Elisha without a tolerance for teasing. I think it also indicates he felt there should be more respect shown toward a prophet of God. These boys were making a mockery of one of God's great prophets. God joined Elisha in having little tolerance for their lack of respect.
In these days there are often signs of little or no respect toward those who are serving the Lord. One might want to take this story in mind before they jeer and disparage the servant of God. Obviously, there are those who are NOT really prophets, and need to be challenged along the way, but one must be careful about this matter.
Please bear this in mind.
