If you have worked in a department store or other business as an hourly worker you know about closing time. Closing time means locking the door and turning out the lights. It means shutting down and going home. I discovered the half hour before closing time was two hours long. Never understood that.
There is another closing time. It is when one is selling a house or property. Closing is the day when folks meet at a title company and sign papers. Checks are exchanged. A deal is completed and closed.
In the morning is HOPEFULLY closing time for Laura and James on their residence in Nixon, Texas. They will not have made much money for all the work put into that old house, but they will have some after paying debts. It may be a while before they attempt ownership. Coaching is not conducive to home ownership.
We are off this Sunday afternoon to care for Calvin while James and Laura go to Gozales in the morning for CLOSING TIME. Pull the shades and lock the doors. Let's get this place closed.
