Our son, Lee and wife Ranell, were here for the weekend from Fort Worth. Lee began to feel ill Saturday evening. He was in bed all day Sunday. Monday they headed back for Fort Worth. He still felt bad. This morning his Doctor told him it was the Swine Flu. He called it a milder case. I don't know if Lee would agree to it's mildness, but it certainly hasn't hit him as hard as some have been zapped.
So, we are waiting out the day or so exposure time to see if it is coming to us also. So far so good. Flu in any form is not a welcome guest. It can be especially hard on older people and kids. This swine flu has hit middle agers pretty hard. We know all the precautions so now just wait, hoping not to get the stuff or pass it on.
Still no rain in Rockport, unless five minutes of sprinkle is now a rain. No tropical storms or hurricanes heading this way.
Eddie is knocking on the back sliding door at our kitchen with his big yellow beak. We have fed him once today, but maybe it was not enough. He may become a real problem. Does anyone have a recipe for egret under glass? (Just kidding).
That is where we are right now. We are so hopeful Lee's flu will not become more severe. We also hope all of you stay clear of the stuff.
