WHO REALLY IS NUMBER ONE?

As the football season in collegiate circles winds down no one team can be said for certain to be NUMBER ONE. Some might even argue for a team that lost one or two games. This year at this point Florida, Texas, Alabama, TCU, and Boise State are undefeated. In the system now in place these teams will not all play each other for a national championship. Someone is going to be left out. It will probably be T.C.U. and Boise State. Florida and Alabama are yet to play each other. Texas is in a very good position, but still have a game to go. The bottom line is that all these teams have some argument to offer for being the best, but none can prove it.

It is kind'a like the RELIGIOUS world. There are religions with good qualities and positive teachings. Several of them. Which one really is NUMBER ONE? Call it what you like, it is the one which accepts the Bible as the Word of God and God as Creator. It is that one that accepts the Christ who was offered as a perfect salvation for sinful humanity. With other religions there is simply no competition at all. None. Christianity is number one. Jesus said it quite simply: " I am the way, the truth, and the life......no person comes to the Father except through Me."

If a person is interested in having an exotic or intellectual religion he can choose from a smorgasbord. If, however, he or she wants a religion giving life and hope and strength and joy,
he need look no further. It is Christianity, firmly grounded in the Bible. That's the one that get's my vote. I'm staking my life on it.
