The news media of all kinds are convinced we all need to know what was behind Tiger Woods crashing his Cadillac into a fire plug and neighbor's tree at an early morning hour. We NEED to know and he isn't telling us! The world needs to know, for this is Tiger Woods!
How silly! We don't need to know. It really isn't any of our business. He did not hurt anyone but himself. It was his car and his property, along with a neighbor. Why is it that folks get caught up in this sort of thing? You and I can speculate. Surely a family dispute was involved, but maybe not. Whatever, we don't really have to know. The other side: Millions and millions of dollars could be involved. This man's name and endorsement is worth a fortune. If there is a scandal of some kind the advertisers can become leery and look for another pretty face to feature on their ads. Today, many athletes and TV folks make more money from who they are than from what they do. Tiger makes a ton from both places. He is the world's best golfer with no question. That is money in the bank for a lifetime and more.... but.... Pete Rose was one of the greatest ballplayers of all time. You don't see his picture out there. O.J. Simpson's pic disappeared, except in prison photos. What is at stake for Tiger? More than a besmirched image. Lots and lots of dollars. We will hear a story. The truth? Your guess is as good as mine. I really don't care that much.
