There were SIXTY kids at VBS yesterday evening at 6:00. It was great! The Rockport folks were there in force. Some of them had been at the church since 10:00 yesterday morning. The Taft folks were there serving food and helping in whatever ways they could. We are now expecting even more this second night. Rain is in the forecast. We don't want it. The grain cutters don't want it either. That is all out of our hands.
Laura and James are in San Antonio for the coaching clinic. They were introduced to city crime in a harsh way. Having just arrived and still getting unloaded they had their car broken into and a computer and GPS was stolen. The car was locked but an expert at his trade of taking things not belonging to him made entry with a tool and left with some irreplaceable pictures of over four years, plus a story Emily was writing. Anyway, such is life. "He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need." (Ephesians 4:28) I guess this guy missed that at Bible school.
