The latest involves the San Andreas fault along the coast of California. An earthquake is in the offing that might top any before. It would reach hundreds of miles. Cities would fall into the sea.
Many thousands would be killed. California would be devastated. When? That is the unanswered question. Could be next week. Could be a hundred years...or more.
Yellowstone is due to explode. It would send choking volcanic ash around the country and the world. The Park would be baked and all wildlife and people would die. When? Could be next week, or a hundred years from now.
Hurricane hitting New York City. A category four or five storm would devastate this city. Thousands would drown and millions would be homeless. The business heart of our nation with Wall Street would disappear. When? Might be next year or a hundred years.
How do we live and go about our daily chores in such settings? We just do. There are no guaranteed promises for tomorrow for any of us. We all live under a cloud of impending disaster. It has been so from the beginning.
Living positively in a negative environment is challenging. It ought to be easier for Believers. Often it is not, for we do not practice what we preach. Don't let the "doomsday" reports get you down.
