Good friend and high school classmate, Dr Eddie Coffman, sent me a reminder; and then Ann ORDERED me outside to see it last night. I took my camera. It was definitely a BIG and BRIGHT moon. It was so bright I could not get a good close-up picture. I finally shrunk it and got a pretty good one.
Why was the moon so bright? I guess because it was so close. It was only 211, 600 miles away. That is like six trips across Texas! It was close! The moon was also brighter than it has been for twenty years for our eyes. The last full moon this large was in March 1993. If it is another twenty years in doing this again I could possibly have a much better view from a different angle.
Did you realize this? We have many, many romantic moon songs. We have no religious ones. Someone please write a moon song for Christians to sing. (No, not a Lottie Moon song!). Well that's it for now..... "I remember that night in the summer moonlight..........."
