The Muse is Loose

We are in to another countdown. This one involves BIRDS. We hope LOTS of them. We have a four person team this year. Three of them are hardened veterans. One is a rookie. He will come through for us without a doubt. As the winners of our division the last two years it could be easy to become complacent. We are not. A new team has emerged from Rockport elementary. They have two of the best birders to be found instructing them. They are all fifth-graders. We take them on on Saturday. This is an eight hour ordeal involving lots of miles and looking at many many birds. We need to record well over a hundred to have a chance to win. That's what we want to do...win. Our team is the Roadrunners. Our Divison is known as the Roughwings, named after a kind of hawk.Saturday morning EARLY the Roadrunners will take the road. It will be fun!
