This was to be the END DAY! Six was the take-off time. I am still here, so either this was another false alarm or I am in a heap of trouble. Ann is still here. That's a relief. If they didn't take her I wouldn't want to go anyway. It wouldn't be Heaven.
When have you seen one old worn-out preacher gain such notoriety? Really it was only just a few weeks since the Koran burning episode. Sure would be good to see a minister do something not so stupid. Another sign we are probably in the last days.
Anyway, it all caused a lot of people to think, "What if it really is so?". Maybe some soul will latch on to the Lord through this non-event. God has used worse efforts from old preachers to help the Cause. Hoping I am one.
I am retiring. Got up early and I have to preach at Taft in the morning. One more Sunday after tomorrow and they get a much younger man which is what they need. I am bringing the service next Sunday evening for Taft seniors. Can you imagine what those kids will be thinking when they see this dinosaur step to the podium to deliver baccalaureate? I am ready with no excuses. My message will be about "Excuses".
